Seven steps to participate in your ceremony

Commencement is quickly approaching! Follow these steps to be prepared & make sure you have everything you need to graduate.
  1. Confirm eligibility.
    1. Undergraduates only: Apply to graduate through StudentAccess - deadline varies by school. Grad Apps must be marked as received by the school before a student can register for the ceremony. 
    2. Graduate students: Check with your advisor to determine if you are eligible to participate.
  2. Register for your ceremony and reserve guest tickets starting at 10 a.m. November 3 but no later than 5 p.m. November 14.
    1. Space is limited and ceremonies can reach capacity.
  3. Order cap & gown online between November 13-21.
  4. Attend GradExpo to pick up your purchased regalia at Newkirk Alumni Center between 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Friday, November 21.
  5. Download tickets Tuesday, December 2 after 10 a.m.
  6. Check the Commencement website for any important details and information regarding your ceremony.
  7. Arrive on time and graduate!
    1. Graduates and Guests should plan to arrive 75 minutes before their ceremony start time to complete the security, venue entrance and graduate check-in processes.
    2. Graduates will receive an "Important Information” email the week before the ceremony to prepare you for the arrival and check-in processes.
